Terms of Attendance

Registration:

• You must register for the Symposium through our designated registration process. All registration information provided must be accurate and complete.
• Registration fees are non-refundable unless otherwise specified. Registrations are transferable upon request, subject to approval by the Symposium organizers.

Attendance:

• Your registration entitles you to attend the Symposium on the designated dates and times specified in the event program.
• You agree to comply with all Symposium rules and policies, as well as any instructions provided by Symposium staff and volunteers.

Professional Conduct:

• You agree to conduct yourself in a professional and respectful manner at all times during the Symposium. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
• You agree to respect the privacy and intellectual property rights of other attendees, speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors.

Compliance with Laws:

You agree to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies governing your participation in the Symposium, including those related to health and safety.

Intellectual Property:

All Symposium materials, including presentations, handouts, and recordings, are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use these materials without prior authorization.

Photography and Recording:

Photography, audio recording, and video recording may be permitted during the Symposium, subject to restrictions outlined by Symposium organizers and applicable laws. You agree not to use such recordings for commercial purposes without consent.

Liability:

You acknowledge that participation in the Symposium involves certain risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Symposium organizers and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your attendance or participation in the Symposium.

Indemnification:

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Symposium organizers, their officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to your attendance or participation in the Symposium.

Changes to Program:

Symposium organizers reserve the right to make changes to the Symposium program, including speakers, sessions, and scheduling, without prior notice.

Cancellation:

In the event that the Symposium is cancelled or rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances, Symposium organizers will provide notice to registered attendees and may offer options for refunds or credits at their discretion.

Jurisdiction:

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Alberta, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

By registering for and attending the Canada HealthTech Symposium 2024, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms of Attendance & Participation. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not register for or attend the Symposium.
